suits, scooters and Parka jackets were all in attendance at the Mildmay Reunion
last weekend. More than 100 Mods danced their way through the Alma pub in
Newington Green, some travelling in on multi-mirrored scooters from Kent. DJ
“Spike” chose to end his long DJ career at the pub that launched him – he was
the resident DJ at the original Mod revivals at the Mildmay Tavern in the 1980s
and could recall actor Kathy Burke regularly dancing through the night at the
pub.
